In the eBay description exactly what happened. The previous owner altered them to look like the 1950 Bowman cards. Amazing they added a border too! |

Ridiculous. $7500 OBO lol.

Haha, that's pretty funny. Kid did a pretty good job.

There was a kid in 1951 that had WAY too much time on his hands.
Funny thing is when i was young I used to make "pop-ups" with my doubles. I'd use an exacto(X-Acto) knife and die cut the top half of the card around the players image and make my own Batter-Up type cards, I thought I was improving on the cards. Too bad the kid in this case didn't just leave well enough alone! |
These have been floating around for a long time. Saw similar examples at the National several years ago

There's another thread on here somehwere about them.

30 yrs ago a guy brought into work a cigar box of 1951 Bowman football and baseball for me to look at. Possibly, this is the same group. He had cut them down to fit in the cigar box. I politely passed.

That's cool! I did one too, and glued on my own back. Made poorly with a typewriter of course. I still have it somewhere. |

But why did SGC holder them horizontally? So bizarre!
