Topps Bazooka Briefcase

I saw this and thought it was cool. If I were a Topps collector it would make a great ancillary item. As it is, it looks pretty good on the shelf anyway and NOS stuff is neat. Anyone have an idea of what year it might be from? Thanks in advance.

Before About 1963. Zip codes started in 63, and this has the old postal code. They could have been offered for a few years, so maybe a bit after 63.

I agree with Steve on the approximate dating.

That is an awesome piece Leon!

I've seen a lot of Bazooka Premiums, but I've never seen that before.

Very cool for sure.

If you like the Briefcase you will love the picnic basket.
I would say with Brooklyn address etc. It is late 1950's or very early 1960's. I would think a candy gum collector could date it.

If you can read the stamped black numbers on the end panel of the carton it can probably be dated. That picnic basket one too.

Anyone else picturing Leon on a picnic now?

ROFL

I clicked through to the auction, the Picnic Carton is from 1962 but I can't make out the stamp on the Briefcase one. Lonnie Cummins figured out how the carton codes work by the way, with a slight assist from me. I'll let him more specifically date this if he pops in.
