T206 Minor Leagues, why such a large percentage of Pied 350s over SCap 350s?
 

According to PSA Pop report, there are a lot of players that have about an 75/25 percentage of population in favor of Piedmont vs. SCap. Some are even higher.. Does anyone know why that might be? I actually just noticed this in the past week...

This may seem like a simplistic answer....the PIEDMONT brand was ATC's "flagship" brand, and that's why American Lithographic printed
up many more T206's with this back.
In the overall population of T206's, PIEDMONT cards consist of approx. 55 %. SWEET CAP's are 2nd in the population with approx. 33 %.

Thanks Ted, and I did know that there was somewhat of a large difference. Having said that, it appears to be much greater with minor leaguers....

I agree with respect to the Providence players. I follow eBay pretty closely and I'd say there are usually at least 4-5 times more Piedmonts than Sweet Caps.

Here is just one example on a card....Shad Barry Pied 350s (215), SCap 350s (36)...This is just one of many. This is a huge difference.....
