PSA half grades

When buying older cards graded by PSA, how do I tell if a card is slabbed prior to half grades and therefore eligible for re-submission?

First off, any card is "eligible" for review. I have had newer cards bumped many times. Generally the date of grading can be determined by flip number...those starting with "0" or "1" are older. Also the holders have been upgraded over the years. An older slab won't have a Hologram etc...

the number and the abbreviation appear on the same line.

Example

NM/MT
8

is a new grade

NM/MT 8

is an old grade

This is specifically the info you were looking for as PSA changed that detail to coincide with the new half grade system so people could tell the two apart.

Thank you for that info. Always wondered.
