Elmer Brown Question (Obscure Player)
I just found out that Elmer Brown came from my hometown of Southport, IN. I can't find out much information online. He played at the turn of the century. Here is what I found out about his stats. He wasn't very good. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/play...hp?p=brownel01
Does anyone know if there is a baseball card out there of him? Thank you, Jonesy |
A quick glance at the sets from the years he was most active 1912-14 did not show him on the checklists. Maybe something more obscure. 3.48 lifetime ERA isnt too bad either:D

According to Beckett's Baseball Card Alphabetical Checklist...
According to Beckett's Baseball Card Alphabetical Checklist book Elmer Brown was included in just one (not vintage) set: the 1990 Target Stores set, card #81.
In defense of Mr. Brown, he was a pretty fair country pitcher. Besides pitching for parts of five years in the major leagues, he twice won 20+ games for the Class C Akron Champs with winning percentages of .750 and .815 in 1910 and '11, respectively.
