Kruger seems like it may be hand-cut. Looks trimmed along the bottom but the original card would have to have been huge for it to be trimmed and still have such large borders.

Phelps has stats written on the back.

What does that say on the back of the Phelps?

It's really hard to make out. I bought 4 cards from the same collection and the owner wrote stats on them, but it's tough to distinguish them (at least for me). I can send you a larger scan via email if you send me an email. lukealyon@gmail.com

I'm pretty sure that's Buck Barker's handwriting on the back of the Phelps. Barker wrote on the backs of his cards all the time. Here is a note he wrote on the back of an Exhibit card that I own (posted in this thread: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=223647):

Top writing on the back of the card says, Danbury, Conn. Have no clue what the rest says. mostly numbers. I was born and raised in Danbury. Nice town when I was a kid.

Based on the stats linked above, it looks like the writing might be the cities he played in.
