1867 KKK Silver Hood Pin
 

I recently picked this up in a coin collection I purchased. Its in excellent condition and well made the pin weighs in at 1.2 ounces of silver is 2 3/4 inches tall and 1 and 1/8 inches wide.Possibly made in the 1960's according to another board member. SOLD.

That's the year they started according to everything I read. Very crazy organization much like the black lives matter...........good luck with the sale.

History of this organization

The first branch of the Ku Klux Klan was established in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May, 1866. A year later a general organization of local Klan's was established in Nashville in April, 1867.

I'm a history buff.........but was stumped so had to look it up...

Do you have any information on the pin before I delete the post? I did test the pin and it is silver looks like coin silver and I also googled similar pins and saw that one just like it sold for $185.00 and the other in a lot with another KKK coin went for $280. Thanks Daryl
