Ebay Alert
While mindlessly trolling through Ebay, I believe I may have uncovered an item with a most unpleasant odor; it is a '33 Goudey #149 Ruth graded PSA 7 - a gorgeous card, probably at least a 10k gem. Starting bid is a modest $500with the vendor being one U.S. Inermes with an even more modest feedback of only 2. Of course, the Ruth is his only item on offer. Hmm. Perhaps some kind soul can post the listing.
My hunch that this card is hot, hot, hot. Maybe the PSA id no. might determine if has been stolen. |
Same card sold at Goldin Auctions in April 2017 for $29400

will consider serious offers is also a hint of a fake sale
Of course if there was an 'owner registry' one could look up that card and contact the owner (masked email to protect identity) to see if they are selling the card |
Decided to ask for more pictures and here is the predictable response (LOL):
New message from: u.s.hermes (2) Thanks for the inquiry. My husband passed 6 months ago and I am not familiar with the sports industry. I will try to accommodate your request but make no promises. I will get advise first. Thanks, Kat |
The scans in the current auction were lifted from the Goldin auction.
