I don't know whether to laugh or roll my eyes...
Per the auction:
“There are no PSA 10'S of this card, and this is the only PSA 9 O/C, POP 1!!” https://www.ebay.com/itm/1963-TOPPS-...8AAOSwbdpWY81G There's 31 9's, 114 8-8.5's 60 7-7.5's  |
63 topps Allen

I've often wondered why someone selling (for example) a PSA 5 of some card, and they put in the listing "Pop 7". I question the relevance, when you have no reference to how many higher unless you go look it up.

Because it's about advertising. Pop 7 may get a buyer, "POP 7, 2987 HIGHER!!!" will probably not.
I'm sure there are a bunch of people who have re-listed "POP 1, NONE HIGHER" on their title and then never check to see if the card has been passed since then. I wonder if people get returns for that once someone loads them into their registry and see it's now a POP 2, 1 HIGHER. |
