SGC December $6 Special include OJ N172's?

Does anyone know if the SGC December $6 Special includes Old Judge N172 cards?

I emailed SGC but unfortunately it was the day before they left on holiday ... and I haven't received a reply (they are out of the office till 01/2018). Anyway ... I think N172's apply to the $6 grading offer (size-wise) as long as the value is <= $100 and the package is post marked before 01/01/2018. But I thought I'd ask here before I submit a package ... in case I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.

Thats how I read the special as well. I sent a submission myself today on the $5.00 special. 45 business days is a long time but worth it to me for low grade/cost cards.

I don't think many Old Judges are worth $100 or less, unless they are pretty beat. If that is the case, why waste money getting a low grade?

Thanks for the replies. Good to know I wasn't the only one to read the SGC special that way.

The few OJ's I have ARE lower grade ... but not really terrible. I have a hard time determining grades/values for OJ's since they are so old and can exhibit fading, trimming, blank backs with glue, etc. ... all problems of which do not seem that uncommon to me ... because of their age and how collectors handled them over the years.

So if SGC determines one of them is valued $100+ ... do they just bill you for the higher value ... or do they send the card(s) back unholdered? I don't send in cards for grading very often. So I honestly don't know. Thank you.

My experience is, if you are in the ballpark on price valuation, you will be fine. I have even heard of people fudging a bit lower value to get a lower cost. I would never do that.
