Jimmie Foxx signed cut
 

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about buying this Jimmie Foxx cut. It’s psa slabbed and graded 9. However, it’s signed in what appears to be lead pencil! I’ve never purchased a pencil auto. Thoughts? Durability? Value versus a pen auto?

Lets see, he's been dead since 1967 so that's 50 years and it still looks good. I'd say it's durable!

I've never heard of any trouble with pencil signatures over the years.

Pencil. if not rubbed, is far more durable than ink. Pencil does not fade.

That's a beautiful autograph, and I love pencil on paper. I don't know the price, but I would take that item in my collection in a heartbeat.

It's a stunner....
and as mentioned, it will always stay dark as long as it's not handled.
