'41 Play Ball question

Does anyone know anything about the ad at the bottom of these for "tennis, fighters, football, etc"? I don't think I've ever seen any of these, but what I've never seen in this hobby could fill the Grand Canyon. Is it safe to assume these ideas we're in the pipeline but got cut off for the war effort? If so, could it be that at least proofs of these concepts might exist?
