1952 Mantle "Error" card.....In case you need a good laugh

As least he didn't say it's been in the family for 70 years

This is why you don't do drugs

It's been in the family for 60 years, so I'll believe his story.

I love when these idiots say "I showed it to local experts and they both said that it's real." Okay, then why didn't you sell it to one of these "local experts?"

Maybe Beavis and Butthead had already spent all their money on nachos.

This reminds me of a guy on craigslist a couple months ago. He had a collection of mostly commons with a couple stars sprinkled in from the '50's / 60's and I told him the retail was around $1500ish and he said "Dealers I've talked to said it's $6k - $7k". I asked if any of them made an offer near that amount. (Crickets)

Sellers who say they have been offered a lot more than their cards are worth (they usually have an idea) would have sold them if the offer was real.
