I had no idea there were other similar Buffalo Bisons cabinets out there until you posted this!

Edited to add that your cabinet is almost certainly also from 1878 as the Hornell team disbanded on 8/21/1878, shortly after their July 6th loss to the Buffalo Bisons (noted on your cab).
