Best place/way to sell
What or where is the best place to sell mid to late 70's baseball cards?
These will mostly be 1) complete sets (pack fresh, but not necessarily top grade because of centering, print defects etc) 2) graded 9's or 10's of common to mid level players 3) a few graded 8-9-10's of stars (mostly $30-100 cards) 4) complete graded team sets Of course there's ebay, but I like buying there and not selling so much. Is PWCC or Probstein good? It seems they just list these on ebay anyway? What's the benefit going through them? Just convenience? Would the auction houses even take something like this? Any help is appreciated. |

PWCC & Probstein can be used in several ways.;) It can be a convenience so you don't have to do the same exact thing they are doing. I personally never have used either, those that have report mixed results on prices realized. |
I think the main benefit would be their built-in customer base. I don't know from personal experience but that's what I'd guess.

If you don't want to much leg work you'd probably be best off finding a consignor to sell for you, like pwcc or probstein. Even though they would charge you b/c they have a good customer base your final sales might make up for that. Not sure if they would turn away the lesser $ stuff say a midgrade '79 set, etc. and in that case you could sell that stuff on the BST or eBay with a basic picture or two. GLWS
