I don't like this Nodgrass
You should see part of the right side of the "S" on a legit one.

Dan, I saw this card early this am...authentic Nodgrass variations have a partial S as you noted. I in fact, submitted the very first (authentic) example to PSA around 1998, and I needed to send PSA (Rocchi & Baker?) a letter detailing the variation, as they had never slabbed one prior. Mine later sold in a Lelands auction. Any way, yeah, this is not an authentic variation. |
Does the top border look okay to you?

From the back, it came from an old Superior Sports auction. That was the old name for Greg Bussineau's company.

As per usual
I agree with Dan.

Yea the one in my original post is no good, I have 2 up in my ebay store and you can clearly see the right side of the "S". PSA should buy that back, I bet it is a George Hober creation.

Looks like mine, Sean. I bought it at a card shop in Allentown, PA, circa 1993 for $40.

No nod to this "Nodgrass"
I have had quite a few, and the legit ones show right hand part of the first "S" Hank |
Maybe the scanner's dust removal setting removed the partial "s"? Just a thought.
