Charlie Brown Was a Pat Moran Fan
2 Attachment(s)
I thought everyone would enjoy this picture of a kid with Charlie Brown's Christmas tree taking a picture of his brand new Pat Moran's Own Ball Game.
Does anyone here have this game? Please post it if you do - thanks! |
I don't have it, but it appears on page 51 of Mark Cooper's book "Baseball Games: Home Versions of the National Pastime, 1860s-1960s":

Thanks for the scan David. Any idea how rare this game is? I don't know anything about old games but don't recall seeing this one before.

good grief...

I have this mental image of Lucy snatching it from Charlie Brown. Oops! Wrong sport.

Bryan / Jobu, Pat Moran's Own Ball Game (1919, Smith Kline & French) is tough but not rare --
an example shows up at least every year or two in internet auctions/sales. Examples in really nice condition, though, are close to rare -- for some reason, it's one of a handful of games that are notorious for almost always showing up in beat-to-hell shape. |
