At least that I'd think, wow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
125-150K.
At that level of condition and rarity, assume it will go higher than you might expect. |
Just depends if there are 2 or more who "have to " have it!
|
someone will most surely "have to have that!"
|
Nice. Is it in an upcoming auction?
|
I don't know if it's for an upcoming auction or if it's going to be for sale. I just saw it on the front page of PSA's website.

Amazing card but I would be nervous as hell about the corners getting dinged when it inevitably floats around in that oversized holder...

I just checked the pop report, this is the only type 4 in a pittsburg uniform psa has graded. In any grade. There are 9 non type 4s graded. I do not know what the difference is. The next highest grade is a 5.
For the nicest example of such a rare and important card the sky's the limit. It would be a great addition to any of the finest collections in the world. Out of my league, but it's a great looking card. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go well into the 6 figures. |
There are many type 4's, the PSA pop did not record them for some time. A quick internet search will bring up a dozen or so different ones, if you wade thru both the images and the listings.
|
I have always thought that there should be a different grading scale for cabinets. That thing is freaking beautiful and it is a 7. One of the nicest cabinets I have ever seen. Granted i can't see the back but that looks like at least an 8 to me!? Really really nice card
|
What year(s) is that from? Why isn't it stated?? Isn't that virtually the first thing a person looks for on a slab?

1902-1911

Condition wise, this is the finest collection of W600 Hall of Famers that I know of. I would love to see them come to the market. |
Those card doctors are creating some nice beauties these days!
Gotta have it! |

Nothing personal but these responses always come off like a lot of sour grapes. |

I am not implying being Dr'd one bit but it always amazes me that something this old and what it/they are made of can be in this good of condition. I assume these were likely placed between book pgs many many years ago or into something I am not familiar with? Needless to say, I am glad the person(s) these belonged to took such great care of them! |

It seems like people know a lot about these specific cards, but they aren't saying who they belong to or whether they will be up for sale ....

I'd be happy to pick up just a 'common' player from this batch.

All look perfectly centered/square in those slabs. Personally, I'd be afraid to pick them up/move them if they can move around easily? |
The error card in this group is mind boggling. These are printed directly on the cabinet, there is no mounted photo. Yet we have a mismatched photo/caption. So perhaps the captions and images were separate print runs?? I don't think they were, so someone must have been having a bad at the printers.
|
Thanks Kevin for the information about these cards. And thanks to everyone for posting the scans. I had never seen the Crawford Cincinnati before, or the Frank Chance.

The card on the left i what the card should look like. I have never seen an error like this on a W600. |

It's Harry Wolverton.
|
So should the miscaptioned one be considered a Chance or a Wolverton?

But everytime someone peels back the curtain on a big card (the T206 Wagner, that WWG Gehrig recently, etc.) we find proof of card doctoring. So anyone with a shred of common sense knows that's as likely to be undoctored as Kaley Cuoco's boobs. |
