Does it Exist? R311 Ken Keltner
I think there are many of us out there chasing cards that do not exist.
I was talking to another collector of the R311 Glossy set and came to the realization that neither of has ever even seen photographic evidence that the R311 Glossy of Ken Keltner exists. So ... anyone out there have one? If so, please post a photo and prove this card is not a myth. (If this is successful, maybe we can do this with other cards that may not really exist but are on the checklists - Talking about you 1923 W572 Barbare and W572 Rapp!) Cheers, Patrick |

R311 Glossy of Keltner does not exist, his first year was 1937 ( one at bat) which is after the set was issued.

Good Information! Thank you!

So, if this card does not exist, it should be removed from these checklists to avoid confusion:
http://www.oldcardboard.com/r/r311/r311-glossy-list.asp (and they have a photo of every other cards in the set) https://www.beckett.com/baseball/193...eltner-3562819 https://prewarcards.com/2017/01/16/r...-premiums-set/ I see the Standard Catalogue de-listed it though. Kudos. Cheers, Patrick |
agreed
the big SCD Book did remove Keltner a while back. It's a phantom.
Another one is R309-2 Bell. |
The SCD checklist contains entries (and prices?) for M101-6 cards of Casey Stengel, Hal Chase, and Honus Wagner - I don't know of anyone who has even seen a photo of any of those cards...
