Opinion Needed on 2 Jeter Signed Cards... Thanks!
3 Attachment(s)
I recently purchased both of these cards, and in full disclosure, both failed authentication. I was quite surprised on the Front Row card especially, as I always understood these to be authentic inserts. Also, the Upper Deck card looked good to me, but did I miss something, or did SGC miss something?!
Thanks in advance. |

Not too familiar with the Front Row inserts but the other is pretty bad to me.

No expert by any means, but they both look off.

Don't like the UD at all.

I don't like the upper deck at all.
The front row has a lot of the right characteristics but that's the first I've seen signed in wide tip marker . |
I owned a front row at some point. Think it had the same sticker on back so I lean good on that one.

ud is bad imo, his loops usually have a consistency to them depending on the era and this one is very sloppy.
not too familiar with his early graph but first thing i notice on the front row is the spacing looks wrong and the letter formation is too big. his early sig tends to be more vertical and "squished" in more from what i've noticed. i've also heard alot of these "certified" front rows have been forged. i'm sure chris and steve will chime in and correct me with their expertise :) |
Thx guys.

Something to remember about Front Row is that the same type of sticker was used for many different cards. It could be an instance of someone buying a Front Row card with the same number (/500) and putting the sticker on another card. Here is an example of a Front Row that utilizes the same sticker but different number (/5000):
