R314 '36 Goudey Wide Pens Premiums Question
http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/204295...5LITHO_NEW.JPG
.....the Type 1 has " litho. in U.S.A." printed in the lower right corner-This Jimmy Dykes "litho in US A:. " appears to be sort of sloppily hand-printed in fountain pen and without using any periods......I've handled and viewed hundreds of this issue and have never come across this before ; anyone ever seen anything like this ? I'm wondering if it's a printer's dummy or a preliminary mock-up or office/editor test photo ? Anyone ?? ( The Type 2 uses this pose but uses a different font in a different location; this is definitely a Type 1 card.).. ..thanks for any help or ideas.. .. |
Dykes
Mine looks similar. Tough to tell exactly but mine looks slightly different with the I and the N much bolder than yours. It almost looks like more than one person wrote that on his card.
