1982 Allstate World Series Challenge

I've seen a picture of a trophy and there is a poster for the 82 ALLSTATE World Series Challenge and I'm wondering what it is for? I would think it's 1982, but for the WS of MLB, College, HS, MS, Little League, etc. There are crossed bats so it has to be baseball.
