1934 Diamond Stars Stan Hack

Now I want to know how this guy makes money and doesn't lose on this? I guess a Plain White envelope is a few cents and mailing is another 50 cents or so....Tough way to make a buck if you ask me....He lists the condition as "acceptable" :)

Downright ugly, but just when it looks like it can't get any cheaper, a "Best Offer" is also available :p

I'm the guy who proves the old saying...

I kind of like this Stan Hack floating around the cloudy cityscape version. I might just be the perfect customer for this card.

My question is, who is the dunce that bought it, even at that price? With less than 20% image remaining, combined front and back, I wouldn't even qualify it as a "filler."

To me that is still a valid card, as Stan's face is unaffected. Desirable, perhaps not, but at least identifiable. We all have all levels of what we can tolerate, and for me this card still bats above the Mendoza line.

Brian (lifetime collecting average is south of the Mendoza line)

I think it is the perfect card for some collectors, probably not a registry card though. And it sold....

If it was in an art gallery it might bring a fortune. I hope I don't offend art
collectors but I don't understand some pieces that bring millions because
it's a "so and so" and the average person looks at it and can't tell if it's a "so and so"
or some parent that let their three year old loose in the art studio.

Wow. That makes mine look Near Mint!

It was an impulse purchase. The card doesn't look much better in person either. I was going to say it was the best $1.99 I've ever spent, but they just opened up a Taco Bell here.

And thanks to Larry making the pickup, I am now the proud owner of the card for my Stan Hack collection! Those of you who know about OBC can understand that this is a mint "10" in my collection!
