I suspect it's a photo of a painting or a print or some sort of odd photo compilation. Everyone looks as if they were pasted on, no depth to the images. I don't think it's a photo of a live event. Still very cool.

interesting....i found it while cleaning this weekend deep in a closet...I have no idea what it is...but based on the quality of the image I'd agree that could be the case.

also since it originates from canada...maybe they didnt have access to actual photo back then?
