Selling SGC 10 1909 Max Stein Christy Mathewson--Real nice looking post card---graded a 10 due to staple marks --the back is outstanding--I just purchased this card and seller had it very high due to scarcity---anyway, I have it at $3600---check scans

Don, I think that using the term "scarcity" is an understatement. There is a total population of 6 on that Matthewson (4 sgc and 2 psa), and that is assuming none were crossed over. If anyone collects matthewson, they need to jump all over this card or wait another 8 years to find it. I suspect that the same mad-stapler who owned your Matthewson once owned my Cobb below. Even the sgc serial numbers are nearly sequential.

Orlando, Yes, I think you are right on the Cobb and Matty---I will bring it to the National and hopefully there will be a buyer there---Yes it is quite scarce or rare---its one of the things, you have to find the right buyer.

This is what a midgrade t206 Matty goes for, but is about a thousand times more rare. I would think that the "right buyer" would be a guy who collects Matty and wants an awesome, and impossibly rare card of his. Good luck with the sale.
