A 6th One Bid Auction - Closed
6 Attachment(s)
Cards are no longer available. Imagine a chance to win $40 (discount) just by putting five moles in order. Absolutely no entry fee. No obligation to purchase either. What the heck, take a whack just for the hell of it.
The text below is unchanged, but a rule change is added in post #4 and is added here as well: I have decided that banning pre-payment whacking is too harsh. Therefore I am changing the rules to allow one round of whacking per member prior to payment. You may use this option only once, and if you decline to purchase based on your discounted price, you are finished. If you whack a mole, there are no do-overs. All whack a mole attempts will be conducted via PM and no results of whack a mole attempts will be posted. That keeps the playing field level for all participants. A slightly different format this one bid auction. There will be five moles all posted below. (not one a day as in the past). The one bid price today is $119 for all the cards and shipping is included. However that price will be reduced if you correctly whack the moles in the order of my cost from most expensive to least expensive. Correctly whack the most expensive mole and the auction price becomes $109. Correctly whack the both the first and second most expensive moles and the auction price becomes $99. Correctly whack the first three moles in the correct order and the auction price becomes $89. Correctly whack the four most costly moles in the correct order and you pay $79. Obviously if you correctly whack the top four, the fifth mole becomes a moot point. Mole whacking will be done by PM only. (I don't want PETA or Leon coming after me.;)) If you whack the moles successfully, you pay only the discounted price. Each day this auction goes unclaimed the one bid price will be reduced by $2, but the discounts remain the same. Therefore tomorrow the one bid price will be $119. I reserve the right to discontinue this auction after 7 days if it goes unclaimed. Questions regarding the format and the rules will be answered in this thread. At the end of the auction, the correct mole whacking order will be revealed. Mole A (Let's call him Albatross) A fine T201 Double Folder featuring Turner and Stovall in an SGC 30 holder. Attachment 272594 Mole B (Let's call him Barracuda) A pair (2 cards) of ungraded Kashin cards featuring Ethan Allen (of All-Stat Baseball fame) and Attachment 272595 HOFer Bill Terry (who hit .400 in the 30s) Attachment 272596 Mole C (Let's call him Curmudgeon) An E-95 Philadelphia Caramel card of Cy Morgan in an SGC 10 holder Attachment 272597 Mole D (Let's call him Dingleberry) an E-90-1 American Caramel card of Jesse Tannehill in an SGC A holder Attachment 272598 Mole E (Let's call him Englebert) A Sweet Cap Pin of Clyde Engel in a PSA 5 holder Attachment 272599 |
Love the creative auction formats. Good luck with your sale.

Seinfeld
Any whacking prior to payment will result in disqualification.
Why does this remind me of the scene from Seinfeld: "I'm in, Jerry" "You'll be out before we get the check..." |

What a bunch of deadheads !!!
Those who have whacked a mole should share their ecstasy.:D If typing the 9-11 letter mole names is too difficult for you, simply sequence the letters A, B, C, D and E in any order you prefer. |
