T206 Providence Grays
I've had a T206 Jimmy Lavender for a couple of years and I love it. Recently I decided to tackle the team set and the first 2 cards arrived today. I'm first tackling the basic set (1 of each player) before I take on all the back variations.

Good luck. I started the same way on my Providence set - got one of each player and then a few years later decided to get some other backs.

How many players are in a Prov set?

OK, this will be the last time I bump this thread (at least for a long time), but yesterday I received the 3 I needed to complete the basic team set. Final count 1 SC, 6 Piedmont and 1 Sov. No rare backs yet. Yes, I know the Arndt has registration issues, but I liked it and the back.

Inspiring project! This one seems doable. Good luck!

These are the ones that I have different: Broadleaf 350 (8 of 8) Cycle 350 (8 of 8) EPDG (5 of 8) Sweet Cap 350/25 (8 of 8) Tolstoi (4 of 8) I like your number of 72 rather than my 80. :) |
Thanks guys!

Whether the Number is 72 or 80, it is achievable and since there are no UZIT, LENOX or HINDU backs it might even be affordable. |

Ted's lists have been updated, so I think the 80 number is good for now. Not counting the fourteen BL, CB, and Drum backs leaves a more realistic target total of 66 (or 58 if I don't try for both SC backs) |

Nice!

Another great card. When I started building my Provdence set, I didn’t realize how tough the Tolstois are. Still haven’t gotten a chance at one.

I thought the Providence fans might enjoy seeing a cabinet of the 1882 Grays. This NL team featured Harry and George Wright, Hoss Radbourn, and a young John Ward.

There's gotta be someone else out there...

Another great Izzy, Chris.
This is probably my favorite right now. The scan is crappy, but the card is a nice SGC 40. Attachment 310882 |
