So I rarely post my pick ups, but I had to show some pics of this bat. I collect T206 player game used bats. And this is about as good as it gets. Side-writing? Check. Labeled? Check. Stamps from sending it back to Louisville Slugger? Check. Address label? Check. Notes on the bat? Check. Pics to follow. I'm really happy about buying this bat.

Is there a center brand? If so, what does it look like?

Just a normal H&B |
They literally put stamps and an address on the bat to mail it out? Awesome piece.

Back then they did, yes! It was common, mostly everyone did it. It's just not that common today that many survived with the stamps....with the Hillerich and Bradsby shipping label....with the notes on the bat.....and with legible sidewriting in grease pencil stating the players name and the date. It was a cool find for me for sure!

It sounds like it ended up with the right collector! Now I just have to find a cheap bat and try to send it by mail :)
|
Haha. Not sure you can send a bat for 6 cents anymore...
