Here we have a pass that belonged to the wife of Cleveland Indians Pitcher Mel Harder (member of Cleveland's Hall of Fame) for the historic 1941 season featuring Joe D's 56 game hit streak and Ted Willaims .406 year, the last time a major leaguer hit over .400.

Harder's performance against the Yankees on May 14, 1941, provided a footnote to baseball history. That afternoon at Yankee Stadium, he stopped Joe DiMaggio, who went 0 for 3 with a walk in Cleveland's 4-1 victory. The next day, DiMaggio began his 56-game hitting streak.

That streak would also top off at 56 and end in Cleveland on July 16 (#56) & July 17 (streak over). No ketchup deal for Joe D (Heinz 57 reference).

So very good chance being the pass of a players wife this pass was inside the stadium for both historic days.

There is only 1 PSA graded July 16 Ticket and it is a school pass. They have no other tickets or passes graded for that day.

There are 4 July 17 stubs graded. Making either day quite rare, THIS pass covers both historic days!
