Tom - I have a 1950 complete uniform from the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario "Kin Rockettes". ("Soo Saint Marie").
Here are Photos of the uniform: https://goo.gl/photos/uBP5vDDELQGiiT72A In the photo album there is also an emblem that says "1950 Champions". That goes to a wool jacket that is part of the uniform. I don't have the jacket as my daughter currently has it at college - she wears it - but she will be back this summer with it if you are interested. I do have the uniform with me. Attachment 268629 |

Tom - my daughter sent me pics of the jacket..I added them to the album. The jacket is a heavy wool very high quality. It's pretty incredible - she may not want to part with it.:)

Hi Tom, I thought I would share these with you. They are the only "items related to women playing the game of baseball" in my collection. Although I don't collect female baseball items I do enjoy unusual photos that I find attractive and interesting. I must admit that I am not currently terribly motivated to sell them but who knows what the future may hold. At least if you have interest you know where these are.
The 1910 Myrtle Rowe photos were shot by Bain. The hitting pose is featured in Baseball Americana: Treasures from the Library of Congress http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...ryId=121511254 They have the original plate glass negative. Although I have seen this image feature in other books I have never seen another vintage print. Unfortunately it is affixed to a Culver board. It is original nonetheless. The original photo of Myrtle in the Fielding pose is the only one I have ever seen anywhere. The photo of the May 16, 1943 AASBL tryouts has to be one of the earliest photos of that league as the slug discusses the formation of the league. It was shot two weeks before the league officially began play. The 1954 Connie Morgan Clowns photo includes Oscar Charleston and King Tut. I think it is a beautiful image. |
Love all of it!
I have Connie Morgan's personal scrapbook from her time with the Clowns. Lots of newspaper articles with her in them and a few type 1 photos. Tom C |
