Lou Gehrig painting on vintage mitt

Hi, I just completed this Gehrig painting and wanted to share it with everyone.

It's on a buckleback from the late '20s/early '30s (strictly wall-hanger, not good shape as a collectible on its own). Took too long to finally get around to painting Lou, but I really wanted a lefty mitt for him! (It's a youth size, 8.5 in. x 7.5 in.)

Thanks Sean,

Just looked at your site, great stuff! That 2 piece Berra/Larsen one is really cool. I love the old gloves on the Matty and Shoeless Joe too.

Thanks, Erick (with the k this time!).

Glad you liked the Perfect game painting and the others on old leather. Was fun seeing your Gehrig '28 R315 in your photos-- nice to see him using a glove similar in style to the one I used for the painting!

Best,
Sean

That's beautiful. Great work. I wish I had a gift to do something like that. No such luck.

That's kind of you to say, Steve. Thanks!

Oh my !

I clicked through your website
This is simply amazing beyond words.
Like Steve mentioned, I also wish I had talents of some sort.
Your gift and the way you present your work is outstanding.

I wish you all the best!

Hi Brian, thanks for checking out my site and your comments. That's helpful feedback, too, re: presentation. I have no talent for collecting all the HOFers, so we're even :-)
Much appreciated,
Sean
