picked this up today a 1929 Yankee Stadium Raincheck from
what i was told , originally is the rain check part of a VIP ticket issued to Rupperts friends business associates and dignitaries . whats cool it has "Good only for the first game played Yankee Stadium Season 1929" the first two home game were rained out, but this would still have been valid for the "First Game played" at Yankee Stadium 1929 whats great about this Game , Yankees First game of the 1929 season which happened to be played at Yankee Stadium , It was the The first ever Yankees team to wear uniform numbers in a regulation game. and Babe Ruth hit Career Home Run 471 - Home Opener and for the first time wearing number 3 , so possibly quite special I think I found an image of a 1923 similar raincheck which claimed to be A VIP ticket I do not own the 1923 rain check I also added an image of a normal Yankees Raincheck which is almost the same size thanks for any input good, bad, or ugly David |

I believe that the answer to your question is yes. It's immaterial that there were two rain out days to begin the season. The ticket/pass states that it will gain you admission to the 1st game of the year, which is technically the home opener. |
1929 first game
Thanks Scott
as always I value your very educated opinion greatly , David |
The 1923 rain check is mine. It was good for the first game of the 1923 season--the first game played in Yankee Stadium.
These rain checks were part of formal, engraved invitations to the home season opener, sent by the Yankee organization to VIPs. |

as I am looking for Yankees Ticket images Dated or undated pre 1939 I am also in the market for any Yankees tickets from the Ruppert era by the way I found an image of a 1927 full VIP ticket so you can see the exact wording they used for the ticket , |
I used to own a full VIP ticket for first home game of 1929. Should've kept it.
