Show us your "unique" (1 of 1) T206 cards.
To date....this Herzog and this McGraw are unique, as they are the only the UZIT cards of these two subjects (according to the Pop Reports).
I traded for the Herzog with my friend in North Carolina in 2010. And, I recently acquired an old T206 collection which included this McGraw. Both cards were raw, originally. Recently, I sold the Herzog to David Hall. Like Kenny Rogers used to sing about cards: "there is a time to hold them, and a time to fold them". So, let's how many more unique T206's are out there in Net54land....so why not show us your's ? http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...ZITxSGC30x.jpg . http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...loveUZITxb.jpg http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...erzogSGC45.jpg . http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/z...ogUZITx50b.jpg TED Z . |

I'm not sure what I have left of 1 of 1s? But I must have had a few at one time as I had many Red Hindus,,,, my favorite one of one is the T206 Eddie Collins batting though,

Great cards Ted. I don't think I have any 1 of 1s.
But these are pretty tough--at least in PSA 5. Sorry for "scan intensive." Abbott Carolina Brights Burchell Broadleaf 350 Kling Old Mill Lajoie With Bat Piedmont 42 |

This Broad Leaf 350 Quinn is listed on T206resource as "not confirmed", and neither PSA nor SGC list any in their pop report.

Did not know there was a such thing as an Eddie Collins proof. That is wild.
I assume this is a one of one that resides in Oberman's collection? If it got into the public forum or auction, what kind of price would it fetch? |

I think the Collins Proof is a $250K+ card at this point.
Unfortunately for me and the gazillion other 206 collectors who covet it. |

David Next time check out my BROAD LEAF 350 list. Your Quinn has been listed as confirmed with BROAD LEAF 350 for several years now...... http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...=125062&page=4 Quote:

I'm pretty sure it was me who first confirmed the existence of Broad Leaf 350 Quinn to you. See post #37 of the thread you linked to, dated 7-23-2015, in which I told you about my Quinn and said that it "knocks another one off the unconfirmed list". Before that, you had Quinn as unconfirmed, as I recall. |
Hey David
You got me on that one. It's been a long day for me, it's time to hit then sack. Thanks guy, TED Z . |

Signed T206 Cards
I only get to the 1-of-1 world through the magic of autographs. I have never seen or even heard about another one of any of these:

Hey Glenn I don't quite understand your comment....please explain ? ? TED Z |
Certainly. In the original post you said you were basing the determination of uniqueness on the numbers in "the Pop Reports." Then David said "neither PSA nor SGC list any [BL 350 Quinns] in their pop report." Thus, he owns 1 of a card which, according to the method you cited, has a population of zero. That's all.
|
Glenn
Perhaps, I was not clear in my original post here. Or, you may be misconstruing the meaning the word "unique" as I have applied it here. I'm not basing the "uniqueness" of a given T206 on Pop report data. I simply refer to the Pop report data as possible supporting evidence. The basis for me saying a certain T206 is unique is strictly based my 37 years of experience collecting T206's. For example....I have never before seen the McGraw and Herzog with UZIT backs. Furthermore, I have contacted many veteran T206 collectors, who told me that they have not either. Therefore, in my opinion it's fair to conclude that these two T206's are unique (at this point in time). Sure, 2nd's (or 3rd's) of these guys may eventually surface. But, as of March 10, 2017 these two T206's remain unique. TED Z . |

This is how the pop reports get out of whack. David probably had the Herzog crossed over. Attachment 265312Attachment 265313 He did the same thing with a Conroy Drum and who knows how many other low pop cards. Attachment 265314Attachment 265315 |

The Herzog / UZIT in REA that you are referring to was my card. I offered it to David Hall at the 2013 National. I gave him a price, but he suggested that I consign it to REA in order to see what market value it would rise to. He won this card; and, of course he had it graded by PSA. I hope this information "de-confuses" you. http://photos.imageevent.com/tedzan7...erzogSGC45.jpg . http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/z...ogUZITx50b.jpg TED Z . |

Thanks Ted. Your explanation definitely clears my confusion. My mistake. I just didn't connect the dots that recently selling it to David Hall was the same thing as consigning it to an auction house in 2013. Makes perfect sense since David Hall was the one who bought it at auction. GREAT CARD!!!!!!! |
Thanks Ronnie
I have sold directly to David quite a number of rare T206's prior to (and after) this Herzog card. However, he thought it would be mutually fair to both of us for him to bid on it in an Auction situation. And, that was fine with me, since I knew he would win the card, anyhow. TED Z . |
Back long before grading companies broke out different T206 tobacco company reverses, and because I no longer have the card, so no scan possible, I held a PSA 7 Griffith batting with a Drum reverse, so sweet it breaks my heart to even think about it. For all I know, David Hall has it in his private vault.

If you'd count dupes, well I've got another thread going here with 45 signed Marquards alone; and 52 others came from the 2007 Great Pittsburgh Find of Signed T206 Cards; Jeff Morey had another 2 or 3 dozen. I'd guess over 200 total, but not likely over 300. |

This color error is puzzling. Anyone here ever see a normally red background T206 look like this one ?

Ted, I've seen so many Polar Bears where the red looks more like orange that I've lost count. But that may be the first one where the red appears to be missing.

The most unique and least loved T206 card I have. I got it with a raw set of 175 cards and while organizing the lot I found out it is currently a onefer. Now I have a hard time getting rid of it. "Make me an offer I can't refuse." (Though I will trade for just one of those awesome T206 signatures).
