Honestly, I was thinking the same thing. I collected baseball cards from 1975-1995, and these ultra-high end vintage cards simply did not exist back then. Where did all of these PSA 9 and 10s come from....other than being doctored since the advent of grading companies, especially PSA?

As I looked through the Heritage catalog I couldn't help but think I was looking at commodities just as much as they were baseball cards. $460K '52 Mantle, $160K Goudey Lajoie etc etc. Little works of art to be sure but I don't live in that world.

I wonder if I will get a catalog this time since I spent a few thousand with them last time instead of placing lots of bids, but being run over by high rollers.

This book is amazing! My favorite cards from the 80's were Sportflics so the cover is awesome....the auction isn't too shabby either.

Just took a look and there are some bigly bids going on over there...already! I think some records are going to be soon smashed!!!!

If I had an extra 30K laying around.... I'm probably not buying a 1980 tops Rickey Henderson.

That's unreal
