Japanese card help
2 Attachment(s)
This came across my desk today. I have no idea what it is. Based on the back, I'd say it's probably modern, but it's got a great vintage look to it......I don't know. The colors are outstanding. It's like the Japanese baseball card equivalent of a bowl of Fruit Loops. Any thoughts?

The backs have trivia questions. Using a translator, it picked up things like this:
Is there something wrong with the world's largest building? S London Tsubo with the British Museum M is the answer to this question Where is the big passenger boat? Where is the long tunnel? Quest of Britain Quinn of the UK! The world's largest passenger ship Where are you? Queen Eli Size Iris of Girls two hundred and ninety three percent Le is thirty-four meters Top label in black with white text on back This is not exact: 世界 - づくレ Note: that 世界 means world in Japanese, I cannot find a match for the text on the right. 4th card, #19 on Giants is probably Koji Uehara |
Just when I thought the Net54 board's expertise couldn't get any sharper, now we got members able to translate Japanese baseball cards! Unreal! :)

The players you have left to right are Hirooka, Maki, Eto, Murase and Testa.
Here is a complete checklist for this issue. |
Awesome...thanks, guys!
Robert, any clue as to how often they're found in strips like this? This one seems to have survived amazingly well. |
