Salesman sample ruth calander
 

Bought this off ebay and it is supposed to be a Salesman sample with Ruth photo. But after taking apart to clean the glass I found the ruth photo taped over the girlie image. Now, the ruth photo is real but I am questioning whether the ruth photo is orig. To the piece. The photo should be 1930s. Any help please. Should I return the piece. Thanks for any help.

Just a guess, but it doesn't seem that the Ruth photo is original to the piece. I dont think it has anything to do with it. Guessing any of the pictures supplied with the piece were color illustrations.

Same. The fact it was taped seems fishy. I don't think it was maliciously done, but it is definitely 2 different pieces. Cool photo none the less.

Like I said the ruth photo is real, but definitely does not go with the piece. I got hell from the seller but it's going back.
