eBay seller "goatcollectibles" is intentionally deceptive

a few days ago, I saw that eBay seller "goatcollectibles" had a 1987 Fleer glossy of Barry Bonds that had "HOF" in the subject line. (See link below.)

So, on January 8th, I sent the seller the following eBay message:
"Barry Bonds is not in the Hall of Fame (and may never be)."

I received the following response from the seller today:
":p"

Needless to say, he didn't correct his ad.

I'm more offended by the price

I'd consider that a mild case of keyword spamming, not the end of the world. I'm assuming "HOF" doesn't play a major role in most people's searches, much the way "RARE" seems to make titles all too often. Does anyone actually search for "RARE"?

There was a seller that used to royally piss me off with his keyword spamming. He mentioned breaking up a collection of a certain player in his auction description, so there were 100s of search hits when I searched for that player, and very few, if any, of his weekly auctions actually included that player. I asked several times if they would please change their description, but was ignored. I finally reported a handful of listings as keyword spamming but I doubt it made a bit of difference.

I agree with Curt...there is far worse keyword spamming happening on eBay.

The seller has a feedback of only 136 and zero seller feedbacks. At those prices he is just listing his collection and hoping a lunatic is surfing eBay after one too many jack & cokes. No one has bought a thing from him yet.

I don't think he's much of a concern.

I agree wholeheartedly with everyone's comments and feedback. But this kind of BS on eBay just makes me a little crazy.

Here's another example from eBay seller "calslu" who actually has a 100% feedback score of 5993.

Calslu lists a 1981 Fleer Willie Stargell PSA 10 as "Rare" in the subject line and "Hard to find" in the item description. On January 11th, I sent the following eBay message to the seller:

I was just wondering............... Since PSA lists 141 of these cards graded as Gem Mint 10, what exactly makes the one you're advertising *RARE* and "hard to find"?

I've yet to get a response.
