Football schedules
Does anyone else collect early football schedules? I've included below a few pics from my college FB collection - and would love to see what others have!
Early Army football skeds (the two 1908 skeds in the middle row crack me up - the original owner of the left one seemed most focused on his female companions for each game, while the owner of the right one was strictly about the scores): http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483722912 Early Yale football skeds (I'm struck by the diversity of the Yale skeds compared to the uniformity of the Army ones - looks like there may have been multiple versions/sponsors each year for Yale): http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728380 Rockne-era Notre Dame: http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728732 1930s Notre Dame - they issued oversized colorful (but fragile) decal skeds during this era (fronts and backs shown): http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728732 http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728732 Early Cornell skeds: http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728732 http://www.net54baseball.com/attachm...1&d=1483728732 |

Apologies if the pics aren't appearing - it appears I haven't yet figured out the mysteries of posting photos!
Here's another try: |
That works Dan. Great skeds! Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff from everyone!

storage
Love the pre-war college material. My collection is modest, but growing at a regular pace as I pick up affordable pieces. Which brings me to my question:
How do you guys store your stuff? With programs and schedules and postcards all being different sizes, I'm running out of convenient/organized ways to store them. Any suggestions or, better yet, examples? |

Love the schedules. Great for display. The Stanford schedule/poster is super cool, but I can't decide how to frame it.

Most of my vintage skeds are currently in (various sizes of) top loaders or CardSavers, then kept in boxes. So they don't see the light of day as often as I'd like. I'm trying to move some of my favorite categories of vintage skeds into albums in plastic sleeves so I can browse them more frequently, but I'm finding I'm not a huge fan of that look either. The varied sizes of the skeds has definitely made it tough for me to come up with something that feels like a satisfying solution. So I too would love to hear how others store their skeds and similar items! |
I have them in binders and use various kinds of Ultra Pro pocket page protectors -

I read and collect comic books, so I've started using bags and boards for some of my smaller programs, schedule or associated paper items. Then I just file them in a long box used for storing comics.

Great stuff, guys! I don't have a lot of schedules but here are a few. I've shown the Tex Hammer one before on a different thread but really like it.
