what does "STOLEN" mean?

jfkheat 02-08-2017 12:36 PM

The Snider was sold to a member here. When he received the it the bubble mailer had been sliced open and the card was gone.

I don't need their names nor their site name/info, but was the member a fairly new member?

I am not getting at anything, I am just curious, is all?

jfkheat 02-22-2017 05:03 PM

They have been a member for a few years. I am not accusing the member of taking the card. I believe it was someone that works with the post office. I may be wrong but that is my gut feeling.

Me neither, i was just curious is all.

With that being said, was the card description written on the outside of the envelope?

I have received a few from sellers and it lists the description, name, etc, on the outside of the envelope, and I always wondered why they did that?
I have never sold/mailed a card to anyone but I think I would put something fictitious on the outside in the description section that wouldn't raise any eyebrows with anyone in the mailing industry.
Same goes for value, does it really need to be listed on the outside of the envelope? If so and if it's a must, then why not put a cheap value you on it?

There was nothing on the outside of the bubble mailer that would let anyone know what was inside. There were two bubble mailers. I put the card inside a small mailer and put that inside a large mailer.

That's unfortunate.

I assume, judging by the card, it wasn't a cheap one.
