1st pickups of 2017 rarest venezuelan cards

picked up a 68 blefary rarest card in the set
and a 67 aaron rarest card in that set
2017 because they wont get here until next week for sure

Why do you say those are the rarest? Other cards were printed in equal quantities.

venezuelan

like any other sets
who knows why certain cards are rarer...they just are
this is the 1st blefary 68 ive seen in 15 years
and only the 3rd aaron....the last aaron on ebay was missing half the reverse from paper loss and sold for over 1000

He is right, some 1968 Venezuelans are short printed are nearly impossible. I can't find a #296 Byron Browne to save my life. Same thing with 1972, I'm not going to believe a #87 Jose Cardenal exists until I see one.

What other 1968 Venezuelans are short printed?

I just started seriously trying to complete my Mets team sets, I'll probaby never get the Koosman/Ryan rookie because of the price and I'm fine with that.

Yes I would also love a list of the 68 Venz SPs. I just started on that set and that would be useful info. Thanks in advance for your help.

The 1968 Curt Blefary and the 1968 Byron Browne are both on the left edge of the original printing sheet and are the cards in the upper and lower corners, that might have something to do with it. The only 1968 Venezuelan Browne that I have ever seen was on eBay years ago, a horribly miscut one that I was outbid on at a high price. I figured the placement on the sheet probably had something to do with the reason for the miscut and its rarity. I only pursue Venezuelan Cubs cards so those are the only ones that I notice are very difficult to find.

hard to get cards

Not sure why, but a number of the 1967's and 1968's are REALLY tough. I'll throw the 1967 Clemente in the pile - Only ever saw one on ebay. John Rumierz said something about the series Clemente is in in 1967 being much scarcer than the rest of the set.

The 1967 1st series is really difficult. IIRC, Keith Olbermann paid some amazing prices for cards he needed that he had never seen before
