Snow on the east coast

Are there any examples of snow on cards? Real snow. No talking printing error snow, but real snow. Seems absurd, but maybe. If it's happened at sometime somewhere for some reason someone here knows.

But the closest that I could find...

No picture of a BB card. We got about 6" yesterday, got lucky it was supposed to be a foot+. Although the -30 for a low tonight will more than make up for it.

I don't ever recall seeing a baseball game being played when it was snowing.

I suppose it is possible, but I would say pretty rare, if it has ever happened.

From that I would say, likely no baseball card with snow in it.

Opening Day 2003

Cleveland at Baltimore 2003. O's won in 13 innings complete with a snow delay. I can't imagine any cards were shot that day. Before topps ran out their Opening Day series of cards.

I sat at Shea Stadium a number of times in April when it was at least flurrying. Not ideal to say the least.

I know it's happened in Colorado, and I'm 90% sure they've even been snowed out there.

Global warming notwithstanding, it's not at all unusual to see snow in Boston in early April. I am sure there have been games with at least flurries.

I can't think of any cards, but here in Detroit spring games with snow seem to occur at least annually. I think we are at 21 of 116 home openers with some snow.

Here's Davy Jones Opening day 1911 for the pre-war folks-

Looks like a 57 Topps.

PhillipAbbott79 12-17-2016 05:57 PM

Hmmm. No Kidding.

Still not thinking any cards have snow on them though.

The first game played in Toronto had Doug Adult leading off with snow shoveled off to the side of the field. I am not sure, but since the event there may be a card of the occasion.
