The fattest T206 borders I have seen

What a great card....

Antique Original F. Clarke, Pittsburg Baseball Card 150 Subjects PIEDMONT The Cigarettes Of Quality Base Ball Series has not been graded, in plastic wrap for protection. This is a real card and not a reproduction.

You can see perforation marks on the left side and top if you zoom on it.

Now it says this...

Reprint F. Clarke, Pittsburg Baseball Card 150 Subjects PIEDMONT The Cigarettes Of Quality Base Ball Series has not been graded, in plastic wrap for protection. This is a real card and not a reproduction.

It's both a reprint and not a reprint at the same time.

I'm sure the only reason it was not submitted for grading was the seller's acute awareness of how the impact of paper loss on the reverse would adversely affect the grade.

The reprint/not a reprint dichotomy simply clarifies that this is not a reprint of a reprint. I do not have a problem with that. This will reassure "first generation reprint" collectors that they are bidding on an original reprint.;)

I like the centering.:D

I am impressed he will Saran Wrap it for protection unasked.

I had not thought prior what a great method of protection that was.

This weekend I will be wrapping my entire collection like the leftovers on Thanksgiving.

Putting things into the plastic wrap's perspective.

That Saran Wrap should be so honored to protect that perfectly perforated specimen.

Lucky for the seller that it has that paper loss on the back. I can barely see where it used to say CAPITOL REPRINT. :D

I believe he has changed the description more than once...It seems to be going back and forth, like a ping pong ball, being real or not.

It could be a Renata Galasso... I'd have to check the Dover books and the Renata Galasso magazines with T206 reprint foldouts to see which one it is.

baztacula 12-16-2016 01:44 PM

This individual is also selling an "original" red portrait Cobb for $900...

OMG, not only is that a terrible fake, but it has a Piedmont 150 back. Red Cobbs were not printed in the 150 Series.

Maybe you could ask him why he didn't sell these cards to that "collector" who thinks that they are real.
