WTB 1983 Topps / Traded White Sox Autographed Cards
 

LAST PUSH. I'm still looking for a few of my '83 Sox, and all help is appreciated. Trying to finish up a complete set of 1983 Topps / Traded autographed Chicago White Sox cards. Seeking cards in nice shape with clean autos. Blue sharpie preferred, but black will do. Can pay via PayPal FF. PM me, please.

I'm confident that I can get Fisk at a show and Hairston through his son, Jerry, Jr., but I'm struggling trying to get Cruz and Walker on their '83 Topps Traded cards. Both are good in-person signers, but won't sign through the mail for me, despite bribes in the form of Starbucks gift cards. BTW, A BIG THANK YOU to McGwire.com for his generous help with Luzinski!

Bump. ANY help is appreciated. Who has a bunch of autographed '83 Topps?

I saw Dotson last season as he was the pitching coach for the White Sox AAA affiliate Charlotte Knights and got him to sign a couple of cards, though not a 1983 Topps.

This season he is the pitching coordinator on Chicago's player development staff - I'd bet he will be in spring training with the Sox. You could probably get the card signed there through the mail (TTM) as he had a good record of signing TTM last season c/o the Knights.

I'll likely see Walker in March during spring training (he works for the Braves) and can definitely help you if you can get the card to me. I'm positive I do not have an unsigned one, nor a signed duplicate.

Bigdaddy, I TTM'd Dotson and he signed two cards for me, but crammed them back into the holders, bending both cards in the process. I might try again. It would probably be poor form to ask him to carefully put them back in the holders, but I'm not sure that will stop me from doing it.

dgo71, as for Walker, I may take you up on it. He doesn't TTM at all and is, I think, a good signer in person. As spring training approaches, I'll probably be in contact with you and send you a two of the cards and return postage. If we do this, you'll also have to let me know if there are any autos that I can get for you. Many thanks!

Hi Tony......Have you tried to get Hairston at spring training? I sent an 87 Topps there recently.....hope it comes back.

Yeah. I'll try sending to Camelback next week. The hilarious part is that I actually ran into him in January when he dropped by to visit his son who was at Sox/Dodgers Fantasy Camp, but I didn't have my '83 handy. Had plenty of cards for the other players that were there though.
