What Are You Asking Santa For?

Your sitting on Santa's lap (just for shoots and giggles, Santa is Babe Ruth), and he asks you what you want for Christmas, hobby-wise. What does your list look like?

My Christmas List

- 1932 Sanella Babe Ruth
- Cleveland Old Judge
- 1913 Fatima Cleveland

Those are the big 3 for me.

Let's hear yours! Happy Thanksgiving!

gemmint77 11-23-2016 10:32 AM

Not too sure yet, will have to see how the bonus looks. Maybe a Green T206 Cobb?

deltaarnet 11-23-2016 10:39 AM

My list:
3 Finger Brown Old Mill
E-93 American Caramel 3 finger Brown
E-91 American Caramel 3 finger Brown
Hopefully pick up the Old Mill for Luke on Black Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving

16 more cards to complete my T206 set

Piratedogcardshows 11-23-2016 11:06 AM

A T210 Dougherty to finish off my Series 4 set. I would even give Santa a few T210 OB's to make it worth his while:D

Maxjacks 11-23-2016 11:09 AM

I would love to finally finish my New York National T-206 team set. The only card I need to complete it is a Christy Mathewson White Cap. So I guess my Christmas wish is the White Cap in an SGC 30.

vintagerookies51 11-23-2016 11:12 AM

One of the hard to find 1947 Bond Bread Jackie rookies

Nothing. Not a thing

except ten days on Maui in January.

Will settle for a week on Oahu, Santa....

P S. Got my '29 Shonen Ruth a month early...nice way to end the year

If Babe Ruth is Santa: He can sign my exhibit cards and we'll call it a day!

If Hanukkah Harry wants to bring me something (besides socks), I wouldn't mind any of the 1968 Atlantic Oil SPs that I don't have.

Being a life-long Giants fan I did the same subset. Wasn't a difficult undertaking compared to other projects, especially when beaters are good enough, as long as you don't consider the Joe Doyle, Natl necessary which I most definitely didn't. Just picked up the last couple of cards I needed recently. You can have a look here: LINK

Christmas

T206 Drum back

T206 John McGraw backs to help with back run

Family time

Not necessarily in that order...

njdunkin1 11-23-2016 12:04 PM

Looking forward to spending time with my family and doing lots of relaxing, sledding, and reading!
For card related stuff:
  • T206 Johnny Kling Old Mill
  • T206 Johnny Kling EPDG
  • Any T206 Horizontal, those are cool

Hoping to help out those in need by serving and putting on an awesome program for Christmas at our church, along with being Santa himself for a day and buying my Secret Santa recipient a sweet gift!

That's a nice bunch of T206s. As you know, the Matty White Cap is not overly scarce. Trick is to land one that presents nice and doesn't cost a fortune. It's one of my favorite T206s.

EvilKing00 11-23-2016 01:48 PM

Kniwing santa cant afford a balt news ruth id ask for Babe ruth contiero , maybe id even ask him to sign it lol

pawpawdiv9 11-23-2016 02:56 PM

GPS location of the greatest 'hoard' of T206s that I will surface to the hobby.

conor912 11-23-2016 04:01 PM

I speant the first 10 years of my marriage putting multiple cards and sets on my Xmas list and never received a single one of them. After a decade I took the hint and stopped asking.

kmac32 11-23-2016 06:48 PM

Any T205 Cubs with different backs that I do not have and T207 Napoleon backed Cubs.

egbeachley 11-23-2016 07:35 PM

Complete set of N172 old Judge's, all variations. Including ones not discovered in storage.

tab 11-23-2016 07:57 PM

Any t206 I don't have. I think it's pretty fun to be surprised to get a new card not knowing who it is. I give my wife my updated list of t206 I have and tell her to find me a PSA graded one not on the list.

Peace on earth and good will towards men, but I might trade that for an N172 Anson in uniform or a Zeenut of Fatty Arbuckle....

Rich, I will ask Santa for you to get your wish, and I will ask Jesus the same. God bless.

I'm with Rich.

But maybe thereafter, if Santa or Hannukah Harry is on a roll, I could recover from the mother of all backaches incurred in an accident while protecting my dog over a year ago. At this point, I'm not likely to make another National.

I say amen to that prayer. Rich, I am so very sorry for your wife's continuing health problems. A strong hug to you.

This has been a tough year for a lot of us. My wife lost both her parents, though they were both very aged. Her mother was 88, and her dad lived to be 90. Fortunately, she and her siblings are all extremely close, which is a genuine blessing.

As an aside, I'm praying for more customers to buy my book, NEVER CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. Google the title for the May 5, 2016 press release written by then-SCD editor, Tom Bartsch. Provides list of chapters and how to order.

To Rich and Mark, prayers and Godspeed.

To everyone else struggling with health and other problems, prayers go out to you, as well. God Bless all.
