Amazing oversize (14" x 17") silver gelatin photograph of Chief Bender batting at Hilltop Park circa 1911 (based on uniforms and presence of the Armory over the wall). This print came from the same source as the Cobb sliding photo that sold in a recent RMY auction for about 4k.

Double weight stock. Speculation is these prints were used at news stands for promotion. The caption on the reverse is glued only along the top edge. No stamps or markings.

The photo is in very good condition. Very light wrinkles along the bottom border from being stored rolled, plus a few light scattered small creases. Note that non-straight edges in photos are due to curl at corners. The photograph itself has straight edges with no trimming, etc.
