SABR reviving Baseball Card Committee
Please see below as noted on Mark Armour's FB Page:
So, Chris Dial and I have decided to revive SABR's Baseball Cards committee, to study, appreciate, and celebrate 150 years of the business/hobby. Any interest? (PLEASE TAG YOUR FRIENDS). This is open to all SABR members so I suggest you join SABR today if you haven't already. We all need some fun in our lives, don't we? (Expertise not required.) Folks: I guarantee you with Mark shepherding this, there will be some really good collection of already done research and some new research into the world of BB cards. Regards Rich |
I know the post said the focus will be on 150 years of cards but I cannot help but wonder if the focus will be on pre-war or will it really be open to discussing and research on all years and issues. I would love to join something like this.

I cannot speak for what the focus will be. BUT, if you have pre-war insights to share, then by all means join so that voice can be heard and pre-war can be helped to receive it's proper due

Looks like an announcement has been posted: http://sabr.org/latest/interested-ba...arch-committee
I've signed up for updates from the committee, and I'm interested to see the research it will do. |
I joined SABR this morning, so I'm interested. Hopefully I can turn some of the gibberish on my blog into useful information for the group.
|
Rich--Thank you for reviving the committee. I went to my SABR account, joined the group, and look forward to good discussion.
Jason--What is your blog address? I'd like to check it out. Cheers, Mike |

I'm slowly fixing all of the broken images. When Google abandoned Picasa in favor of Google Photos I hadn't finished moving all my images, so lots of posts have broken image links. |
I had no idea that SABR was located just down the street from where I work! Awesome!
I'm signing up now... |

Don't get too excited. When the office was in Cleveland it had a nice library.but not much space. Not sure what Phoenix has to offer. |
