Help Authenticating a Long John Reilly Authograph
 

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have another copy of a Long John Reilly autograph?

Would help a lot (hopefully!) to move this to this autograph section.

The "to Johnny" looks to be a different pen than the auto?

Why did they call him long John anyway?

Hi Eric: I thought of that question also. Ball point pens became popular after Reilly died, but they were invented while he was alive. Ink cartridge pens were definitely around, which is what the autograph could be. This is not my bailiwick though.

"To Johnny" definitely looks like ball point and the rest definitely looks like something other than ball point. This would be a cool piece if you can verify it (correction, it is a cool piece either way!).

Because he was 6'3" when the average player was about 5'10"
