Federal League & Ban Johnson Letters - What do you think?

I know it's not cards but I thought this might be interesting to some out there. I got these recently in a collection I purchased. I don't know what to make of them. Is the content important (or even interesting)? I am planning on selling them and would like some opinions as to what the historical value (if any) there is. I really don't know much about the subject matter involved especially the legal aspect. Feel free to chime in with any observations of any kind. I think any insight would be of interest to most looking here.

Certainly interesting and of historical value.

I sent you a pm with some research suggestions, but I do know it was Pepper's argument in the Supreme Court that won the day for organized baseball in the anti trust case, probably one of the major legal cases in baseball history.

I did not know that. I'll have to look into it even further.

Good info

Finally had some time to do a little research. There is a book and at least 2 fairly recent law review type articles with great info, and at least one person who was writing a book about Pepper, asking for documents etc . Try Googling George Wharton pepper baseball anti trust.
