Nice E270 pickup!
Nice pickup Leon.
I have always been curious as to what container the E270s came in when they were issued. Maybe an expert can chime in. Patrick |
Meh... it's not original... when he bought it there was a Cobb in there and he replaced it with a Steinfeldt. :D
Seriously though... cool item! |
It came in that holder is my belief.

The seller is a member here. He sold me one of the centerpieces of my collection many years ago.

Purchased from the seller previously myself
Hi Dan and Leon,
I've purchased a nice catcher's mask from the seller previously myself. No problem with him at all. My question wasn't direct towards him but towards what the hobby knows with regards to what chips could be found in which tins. I know from previous posts that there are quite a few different varieties of Colgan's Chip containers as the company changed hands. My question was directed more towards do we have any information that E254s and E270s came in specific containers or were they packaged in any of the different variety of tins. I know Tom B. was quite an expert with regards to this issue, and hoped he would chime in on this specific issue. Patrick |
Hopefully Rhett Y. will see this thread and chime in to answer your questions. I know he was really digging into the Colgan's sets too.

Leon,
What a choice pick-up! The pairing of the original Colgan's Chips tin with the free prize is priceless. Together they make a simple dynamite display. Thanks for sharing your joy, bro. ---Brian Powell |
