OT: Did You Know Postage Rates Increased Today 8/28?
 

I went to print some shipping labels tonight and noticed that the rates were higher than yesterday. So, I did a Google search and found this:

On August 28th, 2016, the U.S. Postal Service will implement a postage rate increase. However, this price increase will only affect First-Class Packages weighing 3 ounces or less.

The rates have gone from $2.45 to $2.60.

This was the first that I even heard about this.:mad:

Seems 1oz to 8oz is now $2.60

Didnt hear that... But i do know that in april they lowered the price of stamps. Very odd to see prices go down, lol

Technically they didn't lower the price. A temporary price hike expired without being renewed. Amounts to the same thing.

Ahh interesting. Went in to po to buy a few hundred stamps(Im a RE broker and buy 1000's of stamps a year) and the clerk was nice enough to tell me not to buy them that day and come back in a few days, lol.

Now 4 months later i just helped her sell her house, way over market, still shocked it apprased. All deeds come back around i guess :D
